From a bedroom in 2020 to a team of 17.
Before Rooftop Twenty Two, I spent more than ten years working in marketing agencies. I was hooked on business the whole way through. Podcasts, marketing books, new tools, the systems that help a business grow. What stuck with me was how overwhelming marketing felt for most owners and marketing managers. Endless channels, endless opinions, endless distractions.
The businesses that did well weren’t always the ones spending the most. They were the ones with a clear plan. Knowing where the demand is. Knowing what customers are searching for. Putting the right message in front of the right people at the right time. That simplicity is what Rooftop Twenty Two is built on.
In July 2019, just after getting married, I told my wife I’d start my own business within six months. Then I made the mistake of telling everyone else. Friends, family, colleagues. Everyone knew. After that, there was no turning back. So in January 2020, Rooftop Twenty Two was born.
Three months later, the world changed. COVID pushed everything online almost overnight, and businesses needed websites, digital marketing, e-commerce, and visibility more than ever. We were lucky to be in a position to help.
What started as one person in a bedroom grew through referrals, recommendations, and good work delivered month after month. Today we’re a team of 17 working from our studio in Glasnevin, supporting businesses across Ireland and beyond.
We’ve never leaned on hard sell or big promises. The growth has come from doing right by clients, being honest when the conversation is difficult, and being able to stand over our work every single month. Many of the clients who backed us in the early days are still with us. That loyalty means everything, and we never take it for granted.
